Last week brought our seventh week under the Gold Dome. The General Assembly gathered for a short week, but long three days. During our time we managed to pass many bills for the betterment of our great state. All legislation passing the House is now in the Senate for further review. This week we are full steam ahead in preparation for our Crossover Day deadline, scheduled for Thursday, March 29th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Public Safety<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our work to protect minors against human trafficking continues as we passed\u00a0House Bill 993<\/a>. This bill seeks to address the intentional grooming of minors through electronic means. Under the legislation criminal penalties are introduced for offenders who persuade, induce, entice or coerce them into committing sexual offenses or acts of human trafficking. Stipulations of the bill are as follows:<\/p>\n
